ECO AGM and Conference 2014

Theme:   ‘Achieving Genuine Progress for the Environment’

 

Thanks everyone who came to the conference more details on speakers and conference presentations will be posted to the website shortly.

The conferences focused on genuine progress of the the Environment.  Topics range from:

  • Values on the environment

  • climate change and energy

  • choices for the future

  • indicators of change

  • Attitudes to the environment

Friday evening included a discussion on political parties environmental and associated policy and representatives from Greens, Labout, NZ First and National attended.  There was apologies from the Maori Party and Internet-Mana.

Speakers included:

Liz Mellish, Natural resources Advisor at Port Nicholson Block Settlement Trust, Te Atiawa.

Wokje Abrahamse, Lecturer Environmental Studies, School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences, Victoria University

Paul Young, Co-founder Generation Zero.
