Environmental issues and the election
New Zealanders are proud of our clean green reputation and we love the land and sea. Yet many of the things that make Aotearoa/New Zealand special are threatened by pests, pollution and degradation. In order to protect New Zealand from further environmental degradation, political action must be guaranteed at this election.
ECO has worked with other organisations on identifying important issues for the future of the New Zealand environment.
What Policy Suggestions?
ECOs suggestions for policies for environmental improvement that should be adopted by all political parties were published in the September ECOLink. These were based on discussions previously held at the ECO Annual Conference in August.
