Make your vote count in 2005

New Zealanders are proud of our clean green reputation and we love the land and sea. Yet many of the things that make Aotearoa/New Zealand special are threatened by pests, pollution and degradation. In order to protect New Zealand from further environmental degradation political action must be guaranteed at this election.

What Vote for the Environment will be doing

Over the next few weeks we will bring you up-to-date information about where political parties stand on these issues and why you should ‘vote for the environment.’

Vote for the Environment 2005 is a non-partisan campaign promoting key environmental policies that will make a difference to New Zealand and the World. Information will be published to assist voters assess where the parties stand.

Who are Vote for the Environment

The members of Vote for the Environment 2005 are ECO, Greenpeace and the Royal Forest & Bird Protection Society.

What is the Vote For the Environment?

VFE is an environmental charter prepared for the General Election. It sets out the key principles and policy planks that ECO groups consider should be adopted by all political parties.
